Every time I remember that one weekend that we had by the Island just us two where time stopped and there was nothing but white sands, beautiful beaches, crystal blue waters, and the most important thing above all i.e. YOU, I just smile and let you sail my open heart with all your love.
To let you understand this let me take you back to the last time I promised her a perfect date on a weekend that was a few days away from that day, as we argued more or less on what was the definition of a perfect date and came to the conclusion that I would have to mix up and show up for that date.
It was the first Saturday on the second day of April, on the stairs of her apartment I waited for her to drop down, trying so hard not to overthink what was about to happen cause there was a rush in my heartbeat that I felt every time she came one step close to me. I can honestly say I was electrified and became static whenever I felt her near me. I was stuttered. When she arrived downstairs and gazed her eyes upon mine it was at that moment I then realized that the rush I was willing, the unfiltered emotions of pure electrifying blood rush was not only fiction in my head but the reality that I couldn’t explain but a reality that I couldn’t comprehend. In between my thought of delusion and reality, I found her hand wrapped across my waist and her head looking up at mine with that beautiful smile and eyes that got me breathless she said “hey you” and I answered “hey you” with a smile that was lost like a puppy in a winter cold gazing on the warm heater was nearby, she was not only breathtakingly beautiful but she was captivating. I held her hand and told her “today we going on a date we wouldn’t forget” she looked at me with a blushing face and said “we are going to do the whole bucket list”, her face was so light up with the smile she was displaying but above it all her, she stole me without even knowing.
Our date started by the coast on the beach as we were awaiting our boat trip to an island unknown then she came in front of me did the most adorable thing with her lips as if she was a 12 year old undeciding on her first crush as she did this most adorable pout I have ever laid my eyes on and at that moment I could not hear anything else she was saying apart from that image she was expressing with that face, the only thing I remember was my hands across her waist, her fingers found a way into mine and we both got lost steering on beautiful ocean shores as we were waiting for the boat. She whispered then and there “ I could stay here and now forever” and I answered, “Let forever start now.”
Our boat arrived and as a gentleman would hold her waist leap her off the boat to the fresh white sands of what we called a taste of paradise leading the way to a spot where I was sure I would love to see the sunset with her. As I gazed my eyes upon her, by my side, holding my hand so tight with my fingers entangled between hers she smiles and asked: “where are we going?!” I just looked at her and my eyes answered as they made contact with hers, “Trust me” and all I could see after that was her smile and all I could feel was her grip on my hand getting stronger.
I was capsized but fine. I didn’t know how to let it show, wondering if she could have known that my heart skipped beats and synchronized with her rhythm, every time I held her close I was drowning with an overwhelming feeling that I had no words for.
OUR PALMS ON THE GRAINS OF SANDS
By the ocean on a beautiful cabin with a view of that was breathtaking as the water was crystal sky blue and the sound of the ocean on the rocks by the shore was like a mixture of lighting and a lions roar in the Serengeti but nothing could compare to the reflection of the sub-rays by the hanging crystals on her face. I wasn’t just mesmerized, I was stuttered just looking at her walking inside that cabin all light up with the beauty of the place but that wasn’t what caught my eyes. It was just her. She came back after getting lost in the cabin and looked up to my eyes and said “ I am here and now” as she blushed laying her forehead on my chest, hiding her pink chicks and those eyes that shined more than a full moon overflooded by a rush of ocean waves leaving on its shores crystal stars.
I held her hand opened the door out the cabin and this beautiful summer light brushed itself upon our face. I remember the sweet smell of the ocean like fresh spring and her running by in the freshly cut grasses and as I speeded up and reached her I just recall quoting James Bay

And I meant every word.
When we were together it was not lonely, it was innocent, it was like two puppies finding each other in the wilderness. She smiled looked at me as I said today on the second day past April, it will be a day you wouldn’t forget as it is our journey to the perfect date.
